Applications for entry in 2013

There are only 100 places in each year group at the Greenwich Free School.

You can read all about why you might choose to send your child to this innovative and exciting new school in our prospectus.

Applications for entry in September 2013 will be made through the Local Authority Common Application process. This simply means that you should list the Greenwich Free School as one of your preferences on your local authority form. If you are a resident of another borough, the same applies: just list the Greenwich Free School on your local authority form.

There is no supplementary form to fill out for the Greenwich Free School, and pupils do not need to sit any entrance exams or tests.

Hands Up

Fair Banding

At the Greenwich Free School we have a commitment to being a fully comprehensive school. As such, we have allocated 20% of our places to each of the five ability bands (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b and 3). If you are a resident of Royal Greenwich you will be given this information by your child's school. If you are a resident of another borough that does not use this system, such as Bexley, it is very easy to get information about which band your child is in. If you contact the Greenwich Admissions team (on 020 8921 8043) they will ask you about your child's attainment levels and translate that into a band.
