The Greenwich Free School is located in a beautiful site next to Woolwich Common, in the heart of Greenwich. Take a look at the short video above to see what the refurbished site will look like when it's completed.

Our site: Adair House

Adair House is a large building located at 403 Shooters Hill Rd, SE18 4LH, opposite the old Royal Herbert Hospital building and backing onto Woolwich Common. There are lots of bus routes that go up and down Shooters Hill Road, making it easy for our pupils to come to school by themselves as they become more independent.

In 2013/14, we are accommodated in well-provisioned temporary accommodation at our Adair House site. We have secured planning permission and funding to develop the site into a well-appointed new school during 2013 and 2014 and will move into the new accommodation in September 2014.

Our architects, Hunters, are the winners of multiple national and international design awards for their school buildings, including from the British Council of School Environments and the Times Educational Supplement.

Backing onto Woolwich Common, the new school will have a beautiful, large library; large dining and main school halls; a lecture room; a sports hall; and an activity studio – alongside large, well-equipped specialist facilities for ICT, science, art and music.

Outside, the site features a multi-use sports pitch and a central open-air piazza at the heart of the school – as well as an open-air learning deck on the second floor.
