Teacher of Science

We are seeking an outstanding teacher to join our Science Department for our new intake in 2014.

Salary: Highly competitive and negotiable depending on experience.
Location: Greenwich
Contract type: Full-time
Contract term: Permanent

Working in the science department at GFS is all about inspiring a passion for science in our pupils. As specialists, we love our subjects and we want to share that with pupils by creating engaging and interesting lessons and finding innovative ways to teach the old classics. Pupils at GFS are curious. They want to know about the world around them, they want to investigate and, most importantly, they want to learn new things. Because we don't have to follow a prescribed curriculum we can teach the things that matter and the things that kids want to know. We have no problems with pushing year 7 pupils towards A-Level content if it is relevant and interesting to them - and they love it! As a new school we are slowly building the department from its foundations and we are looking for an inspiring teacher to join us to develop our curriculum and teach some outstanding lessons. If you think you can do this we would love to hear from you.

For more information about the school and role, please download our role profile and information booklet for prospective staff. To apply, please email a completed application form (on the left of this page), up-to-date curriculum vitae and covering letter to . Your letter should be no longer than two sides of typed A4, font size no smaller than 11, and should set out why you feel you are suitable for the post.
