Vacancies on the governing body
Vacancies on the governing body are filled in accordance with the method relating to the specific vacancy.
For Member appointed and co-opted vacancies, the Chair of Governors keeps a list of all candidates who have expressed an interest in serving to be considered whenever there is a vacancy. All Governors are also asked at regular times to seek expressions of interest for future vacancies, and when current vacancies exist. We are determined that the Governing Body operates on the basis of skills rather than representation, but we are also particularly keen to receive expressions of interest from underrepresented groups and those in our local community.
If you would like to put yourself forward to be considered for a vacancy of any type, please contact Jonathan Simons as above.
Contacting the governing body
The clerk to the Governing Body is Victoria Hemmings and is the first point of contact for all general questions to or for the Governing Body. She can be contacted at
To contact Jonathan Simons directly in his capacity as chair of governors, please contact or to contact Jo Israel in her capacity as deputy chair, please contact . Or telephone or write to the school’s address and information will be forwarded on to one or both of them.
Complaints
In the academic year 2016/17 we received two complaints under the formal complaints policy, both of which were resolved satisfactorily.
